Within the beautiful and ancient energy practice of Marma Chikitsa, or Ayurvedic Acupressure, lies the origins of modern massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Using the 107 vital energy points on our body to activate our own internal pharmacy, we can heal our emotional, mental, and physical wounds through powerful energetic shifts in the body and the stimulation and release of hormones and neurotransmitters to support our distinct needs. This is a Ayurvedic somatic practice that combines massage, acupressure, dosha specific essential oils, and tuning forks and is part of a traditional Panchakarma. As a Reiki Master attuned in the Usui tradition, I make this practice extra potent by infusing Reiki universal energy into the treatment. The best part is that you can learn Marma point stimulation on your own to treat yourself in between sessions. Your session also includes a discussion of any transmissions that come through to the practitioner through your body during the session, which can be physical, emotional, or spiritual in nature.

ABOUT KIMBERLY

I am a 10th Generation Usui Reiki Master, attuned in the below stated lineage. I am also an Ayurvedic Acupressure practitioner under the direct guidance and certification of Dr. Vasant Lad. My background is in Clinical Psychology and I am a student of the plants, working with plant medicines and essences, and holding Bobinsana and Noya Rao dietas in the Shipibo lineage under Maestro Rono Lopez. I am a native NYer and currently live and work out of Brooklyn, NY.
